SANDRA M. McCARTHY –- Sandra McCarthy founded A People’s Choice in 1980.
She has worked exclusively in the legal field since 1976. She served as the 2004-2005 President of CALDA (California Association of Legal Document Assistants). During her
career, she obtained a Paralegal Certificate from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has also worked as a freelance paralegal, law office manager and paralegal studies
teacher. In the early 1980s, her business was established mainly through attorney referrals for those people unable to afford full attorney representation. As a registered Legal
Document Assistant, A People’s Choice is dedicated to providing low-cost, self-help legal document preparation services for California consumers. Ms. McCarthy manages the Ventura
office and handles the online customers. She is also a California notary.
 KAYDI DAVIS TOVAR
– Kaydi Davis Tovar received her bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of West Los Angeles in 1988, specializing in litigation, real estate
and corporations. Having worked in the legal field for over 23 years, she brings a strong foundation of experience and knowledge, specializing in civil litigation cases, including
business and entertainment matters, and has worked with attorneys on trials involving numerous celebrities. She has lectured before the Century City Bar Association, and has
been a guest lecturer at her alma mater. During her career, she has worked both as a paralegal for attorneys, and as a legal document assistant. She is a strong advocate for
simplified, affordable public access to the California legal system. Ms. Tovar manages the Simi Valley and Woodland Hills offices and is also a California notary.
